Steel Structure Development

In recent years, steel structure buildings have obvious advantages in environmental protection, energy saving, high efficiency, and factory production compared to brick and concrete structures. Beijing, Shanghai, Shandong and other provinces and cities have begun pilot projects of steel structure, including Beijing Jinyu Apartment has been listed as a demonstration project of the residential steel structure system of the Ministry of Construction. High-rise steel structures are commonplace. It is expected that the 21st century will be a century of metal structures, and steel structures will become the backbone of the new construction era. Humans began using pig iron in the 1970s and began using wrought iron to build bridges and houses in the early 19th century. The history of the development of steel structures has a long history of development compared with that of reinforced concrete structures, and its vitality is also growing stronger. In the United States, more than 70% of the low-rise buildings, such as non-residential buildings below two floors, are architectural metal products. Among the 101 ultra-high-rise buildings completed in the world so far, there are 16 reinforced concrete structures, 59 pure steel structures, and 27 different mixed steel and concrete structures; it can be seen that the development of steel structures will surely promote the construction industry and the metallurgical industry. The machinery industry, automobile industry, agriculture, petroleum industry, commerce, and transportation have developed rapidly.
